Frederick Wong, CFA
Founder & Chief Investment Officer
Fred Wong specializes in global technology stocks investments. Graduated with degree in Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering (semiconductor stream) from the University of Hong Kong, Fred held various management positions with global semiconductor companies. After 10 years in the semiconductor industry, including Integrated Circuit (IC) design, he started his new career in the financial sector.
At BNP Paribas, Fred ranked top 10 in the hardware technology sector of the 2008 Institutional Investor All-Asia research survey, and No. 1 Earnings Estimator in IT & Consumer Durables in 2009 Thomson Reuters Starmine survey. Fred is the author of two investment books, and is co-founder (Alchemist Apprentice) of Artificial Intelligence Hong Kong and Central Financial Education. He is regularly invited by TVB, RTHK, NowTV, Cable TV, MetroRadio, and Bloomberg etc. to speak on technology related topics.
Cindy Chu, CFA, CIPM
Research Director
Cindy has 20 years of experience in equity research, data management and investment management. She currently is COO at eFusion Capital, also worked for Fidelity International, Citigroup, JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley. Cindy was head of Citi Asia Data Services team, key contributor for Citi Asia Quant team that ranked #1(2009), #2(2010) in the Institutional Investor (II) survey. Prior to joining Citi, she was a semiconductor analyst at JP Morgan, in the team ranked No. 1 in the Institutional Investor Survey.
Cindy holds an MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and a degree in Computer Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a CFA and CIPM charterholder.
Isaac Wong
Managed Account Manager
Isaac is eFusion Capital’s portfolio manager and is responsible for managed account investment. He has multiple years of equity research experience in AI/semiconductor/technology hardware sectors. Isaac is also an Executive Committee member of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries for Group 5 (Electronics Industry). Isaac holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from the University of Hong Kong.
Robin Yuen, CFA
Head of Capital Introduction
Robin leads the Private Equity Capital Introductions business at eFusion, leveraging his deep expertise in both public and private markets. In his role, he operates at the intersection of entrepreneurs and investors. He advises technology startups on raising capital from strategic and financial investors for Series A and later-stage rounds. Concurrently, he manages eFusion’s proprietary capital deployed into these opportunities and sources co-investments for the firm’s limited partners and external funds.
Robin brings over a decade of equity research experience, having worked at CLSA, Barclays, RHB Bank, and UOB Kay Hian. He previously served as Head of Consumer Research at UOB Kay Hian and Lead Consumer Analyst at RHB Bank, and has been recognized by Thomson Reuters Starmine with awards in Earnings Accuracy (2017) and Stock Picking (2015).
Robin holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from NYU Stern. He is a CFA charterholder, with an additional CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
Owen Wong
Head of AI Application
Owen is responsible for building AI algorithms, researching in AI stocks and AI Application in eFusion. He is graduated from the University of Hong Kong, undertaking the Applied Artificial Intelligence program. He is also the columnist writer of HKEJ 信報 (column name: AI 明星隊) and HKET 經濟日報. With solid fundamental and technical background, he is the winner of many global algorithmic trading competitions and value investment competitions.
